Dr. Tigranuhi (Tig) Han is the founder of Applause Music Academy. She holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder as well as Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in piano performance from California State University, Fullerton. A native of Armenia, Dr. Han initially started her musical journey with her mother. She inherited her mother’s love and enthusiasm for teaching and has been teaching for over 20 years. Dr. Han continues to maintain a busy private studio as well as teaches piano and fundamentals of music to intellectually disabled students at Coastline Community College. Her private students have presented recitals at state and national conferences and have been awarded numerous prizes and distinctions at competition. Dr. Han’s goal is to enhance every student’s natural musical ability and to instill a lifelong love and enjoyment of music in each and every student. She makes learning fun and frequently integrates games and technology into her lessons.
