Piano, Violin
Ms. Carolyn brings over 30 years of experience teaching violin and piano in both private and group settings. She has also performed with orchestras for more than four decades, bringing a depth of professional experience into every lesson. Ms. Carolyn welcomes students of all ages and backgrounds, including those who speak Cantonese and Mandarin. She finds great joy in watching beginners grow in confidence and musical understanding.
Throughout her career, Ms. Carolyn has performed as a first violinist with regional symphony orchestras and has collaborated with esteemed conductors and ensembles. In addition to orchestral performance, she regularly plays violin, piano, and organ for church services and special events. She also manages a string quartet that performs at weddings, memorials, and community events.
Beyond private instruction, Ms. Carolyn has experience teaching general music in elementary school settings. She values every opportunity to share her love of music and inspire lifelong learning in her students.
Originally from Singapore, Ms. Carolyn has lived in the United States since her late teens. In her free time, she enjoys traveling—especially along California’s beautiful Central Coast—and exploring new restaurants and cuisines as a dedicated foodie.
