Mr. Sean is a Southern California–based cellist and educator with over 20 years of experience as a performer and teacher. He maintains an active performance career, serving in leadership and section roles with several regional symphony orchestras, and regularly collaborates with musicians across a wide range of ensembles.
An experienced chamber musician, Mr. Sean has performed an extensive repertoire spanning classical and romantic works through modern composers. His performance experience also includes live events, recordings, and collaborations with contemporary artists across genres such as rock, country, Latin, and jazz. In addition to orchestral and chamber music, he performs frequently in small ensemble settings for special events.
Mr. Sean is equally passionate about education. He works closely with students of all ages, both in private instruction and as an orchestra coach, supporting the development of strong technique, musical understanding, and ensemble skills. His teaching philosophy centers on steady growth, encouragement, and helping students build a lasting connection to music.
Outside of music, Mr. Sean enjoys spending time with his bandmates, exploring local food spots—especially Thai cuisine—and attending art and music events. He also values time spent with family. Some of his most memorable performance experiences include large-scale orchestral works and choral collaborations, which continue to inspire his teaching and musicianship.
