Ms. Maddie began her musical journey at a young age, discovering an early love for singing that grew into a lifelong passion for music. Through her school years, she gained extensive experience in vocal performance, musical theater, choral singing, and ensemble collaboration, developing strong musicianship and a deep appreciation for group music-making.
Ms. Maddie holds a bachelor’s degree in choral music education and has received formal training in choral leadership, rehearsal techniques, and vocal pedagogy. During her academic studies, she served in leadership roles within collegiate ensembles, experiences that strengthened her passion for teaching and supporting student growth. She is currently continuing her professional preparation in music education with the goal of teaching choir and fostering inclusive, encouraging learning environments.
As an educator, Ms. Maddie believes strongly in the power of music to build confidence, shape identity, and create community. She is dedicated to helping students discover their unique voices—both musically and personally—while developing healthy technique and a love for singing.
Outside of teaching and academics, Ms. Maddie enjoys sharing her musical gifts through volunteer work in her community, including participating in church and local events. She also treasures making music with family, especially performing at gatherings accompanied by her brother on piano—experiences that continue to inspire her dedication to teaching and music-making.
